Charity foundation «My vdoma» is a team of people from all over Ukraine, who survived russian occupation and military actions, and who care about the fate of their country. Having faced the challenges of the war, we took responsibility for the community of Hostomel and created a reliable home front for those on the frontline.
On February 24, 2022, Hostomel became one of the main targets of russian invaders. Russians tried to seize the Antonov airport, where the Mriya airplane was stationed, by landing over 1,000 troops there. There was heavy fighting for the airport and the town. However, eventually Hostomel was occupied. If Hostomel hadn’t taken the fight decently, the chances of occupying Kyiv would have increased tremendously.
On April 2, 2022, the town was liberated along with another part of the Kyiv region.
Since we live in Hostomel, the war caught us up right here – at home. We’ve been through occupation, so we know all the horrors of war from our own experience.
After de-occupation of Hostomel we united in one team with the most proactive people, who took responsibility for solving the acute humanitarian crisis in our region.
